Well... Here is the story of our WONDERFUL Emmee Leone!!! WE got a Call on Wednesday afternoon and they stated they had a situation that was an unknown sex and she was flying in to Utah that day. They said she had a doctors apt at 3 and we would know more. They said she was due the 9th of January, they said it was an Agency pick, so if we wanted it, this baby was ours.
So we prayed and Brad and I both decided ( with the lords helps) that this was the one and that it was good we didn't know the sex of the baby... Just leave it up to the big guy!!
So we got a call later that night and the Birth Mom (BM) was dilated to a 4 so if she didn't have the baby that night they would start her in the morning. So we got a text message around 1:15p.m and it said CONGRATULATIONS it a GIRL!!!!! and that the BM wanted us to not come to the hospital until after she had signed the papers.
So Friday we get told the BM is still okay with everything ( what a strong, beautiful and very wonderful women.. whom we love very much) and we needed to be by the Hospital around 1:30pm. So we went and signed all the papers and at the last min. the BM wanted to meet me.
WOW what a very scary but spiritual meeting that was: I walked in to the room and asked her if I could give her a hug. I think we hugged for about a min. while I whispered to her how much I love her and how beautiful she is. I gave her a gift that hopefully she loved and started to cry. I told her I felt blessed to have her in our lives and I will take the BEST care of her baby that I know how. WE talked for about 20 min and she said her goodbyes and left to jump on a plane back to her home state.. WOW what a very strong women. I love her and we will pray for her often!! Here is the WONDERFUL baby girl she delivered and the beautiful little girl I got to take home...

This is the 3rd time Brad and I will do the floor in this house!!! The 1st time we put the tile in while the house was being built, then they worked on the house shortly after and some of the tiles were never the same. So we broke it out and put wood. Well then we wanted to expand the wood, but they were sold out of that kind, so we had to pull it all up and do it again. But I tell you it looks WONDERFUL!!!

First I have to say that I LOVE my little girl, She is fun, crazy, outgoing. and Very lovable. But one thing she does like to do is play hide-n-seek and that is not my favorite game.

The other day she scared my to death. She disappeared and she was dead quiet. I thought maybe she went outside I was screaming and yelling her name. Then finally I hear something move in her room and Yep.....

She is in her Laundry basket!!! Good place to hide :)

SO for a while I wanted to have a niece and nephew party... Where all my brothers and sisters drop off there kids and go have a date.

Well we rented a bouncy house. We found the BEST coupon EVER!!! And we had about 7 kids for 4 hours. This was fun but not sure if I could do it again

I would recommend this to anyone!! This parade was so great and it was at night so it was a little cooler. Also not very many people come, so we had a great view and had a lot of fun!

My Baby turned 3 on July 1st. I can't believe it has been 3 years since we adopted Brinlee.
She is such a wonderful girl.

She can count all the way to 17 by herself( with a little help to 20)
She weighs 31 lbs, she is about 43 inches, yep almost 4 ft
She loves Scooby doo, and says Cooper is him :)

She was potty trained months ago ( still working a little on #2) She is doing great

That's right!!! I am very VERY proud of my hubby, he walked in the Spring Commencement but will be graduating at the end of summer semester. HE is so smart and it took a lot of courage to go back to school and change his ENTIRE career. HE has done such a great job!! It does not surprise me he graduated SUMMA CUM LAUDE.. That's my MAN! My sisters and I went to Color Me Mine and did this platter... IT turned out really good. Kellie and Kamie did cute stuff to.. It was so great to get with my sisters and just have fun!!! I love that place, but be careful.. it is a time warp. You can be there for hrs.

This is an outfit Judy bought Brinlee to go to Show Stoppers in!!! She is in a group called "Tiny Tones" She is way cute and loves to sing and dance. We have had a couple of time where she has not wanted to go, but this last class she was great!!! So hopefully she loves it! Tickets for the show go on sale this week.. if you would like to come see a great show let me know. We are doing ALADDIN, LITTLE MERMAID and MULAN.. it would be great for the Family! The tickets are $ 6.00 a piece... Come see a great show

First I have to talk about a great loss to our family. That is Brinlee's first Snowman.. Brinlee was so sad when he melted, we ever sang the Primary song " Once there was a snowman" and she was still sad... So we had to take a picture of his remains and tell him goodbye

I came into Brinlee's room because she was in there for a long time with the door closed. I came upon this mess...

So I asked her what she was doing.. She told me that she needed to hide something. I thought on no something has happened and she is trying to hide it from me. So I slowly looked over the barricade she had created to find..... A piece of cheese string cheese in the middle of the floor. ( not sure if you see it, but it is in the middle of the orange plastic spoons)

She was hiding it from Cooper... He eats her things a lot of the time, but in his defense.. I saw her give him a cracker and then cry to me that "Pooper" (Which is what she calls him) ate her food, so I am not sure what is going on

Brad got a COMPUTER JOB!!!! I am very proud of my hubby. It has been hard, but he has changed his career and got a job in about 14 months..(fast) That is pretty awesome.

Again still happy and we get all our luggage on a cart!

So the Drama began shortly after this photo, we went in to check in and they told us that we all needed our Birth Cert. Well about 8 of us did not have them, so we spent the next 41/2 hrs calling family and friends and had them fax our BC to us. Thanks to Kamie and Nate Brad and I got it with about 30 min ( and that is only because Nate faxed them on his way to work) So it would have been sooner. But we finally got all of them faxed and the boat was delayed. But at this point we were glad because we needed to get all the right paper work.

So Trent, Wendy, Brad and I went out to eat at this wonderful Restaurant. It was great!!

Well... The boat ended up being delayed for 2 days because of fog, then a boat hit another cruise ship that was in front of us causing us to wait in line for about 61/2 hrs then finally they bused us over to pier 10 to let a board (which they could have done 8 hrs ago) and we finally got on the boat Monday Morning and spent the night in port. The next day our boat took off and we went on a cruise to The Gulf!! Yep we couldn't do any stops. That part was sad, but we still had a blast!! I am so thankful for Valerie and Randy for buying everyone this cruise!! We love you guys

I have been without a Camera for about 5 months and I am DONE!!! Just the other day my camera on my phone broke... So I really have nothing to my name. Brad and I finally bought a new one today. We are going on a cruise and I hope to have many MANY pictures to post and soon. Hope everyone is doing well. Just some information, we have moved back into our house and we are just gettin back into the swing of things. Brinlee is still as active as ever and growing bigger with every day. I love her and I am truly thankful for my hubby. He is done with school in Aug.. HE has worked so hard for our family and I am very blessed.
We also hope to have another bundle of joy.. and soon ( if it was my choice we would have him already :) ) but he will come with time and of course with saving more $$$ SO there is just a little to update you

Okay I could not flip this..

ARE YOU READY FOR THIS............

I think this is the first time I can maybe laugh about this.... Well I have dropped my very first cake.. The only problem was it was for a WEDDING!!! Ya not just a b-day party.. A Wedding. I was taking it down stairs to store in the food storage in Valerie and Randy's basement and I dropped it in Coopers dish.. I think he was thinking " I am not sure what the problem is here mom" As he tried to clean up my mess.

11 hours later and a lot of support and calming me down by Valerie, Randy, Brad and kamie (thanks for going shopping for me) I was finished.. Just in time to deliver the cake the next day and have a very happy Bride and Groom. Kellie also helpped me decorate the top of the cake.. She is very talented. The good thing about this was it happened the day before and not the day of!!! :).

But to add to this story.... On Sunday when I picked Brinlee up from Nursery, the leader said, " I have to ask you something" So I said okay, thinking hopefully Brinlee didn't do something bad.. and she replied with," Brinlee has been saying all day that: "Mommy cried because she dropped a cake!!! " What is that all about.. So I relived the story.. Laughing about it now, kids and what they say!!!

We had the BEST time ever going to Trent and Wendy's. Brinlee warmed right up to them and we just had the greatest time. I am so thankful for their warm hospitality and their kind hearts! Thanks again for letting us come. Brinlee still talks about you guys, and misses you. We can not wait to see you in Feb.

Wow, it has been a long time, I am sorry I have not been on in a while. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas... Brad and I have done some really fun things since he has been off from school.. I will get pictures posted as soon as I get them from Trent and Wendy.

But anyways, Randy had a Birthday and I was given the honor of making him a cake.. Brad said this is the WORST cake I have ever done.. mm I wonder why???

Randy wanted a German Chocolate cake and that is what he got... I made a homemade chocolate cake and then I cheated and bought the frosting for the german part :)!! It is layered on the inside, because I could not decorate with that type of frosting. The out side is my homemade butter cream.. it was pretty good!!

WOW I can not believe this month has gone by so fast!!!! This is my last post about being thankful.. In some ways I am very happy and in others.. I think I will miss it. So here are my last 3 days:

I am very Thankful for Music.. I love it, it can get me to run faster, be in a better mood. Dance!!! I know there are some bad music out there, but if you listen to good music it can really lift you up. One of my Favorite CD's is a classical mix from a movie called Holiday. It is the most wonderful music. I also love an artist named Jenny Phillips. I really could go on and on.. Phil Collins.. THE BEST!!! I love it and I am thankful for it
I love Strawberries.. They favorite. I am very thankful for them. I could eat them any time and anywhere. They are the best fruit and I really enjoy them.

I love to travel, this picture was taken in an airplane on a private flight over Hawaii. I love Hawaii.. I also took another wonderful vacation before I met Brad with a really good Friend of mine, Kara.. right after high school we went to Greece. I love it!! One of the BEST times I have had. I am thankful for the opportunity to travel and I am thankful to go with friend new and old. Kara and I have been friend since we were 3 and I am thankful to have her in my life. I wish I had a picture of us in Greece, but I need to scan them. Here are the places I have been:

I am very thankful for Thanksgiving!!! It is one of the BEST Holiday's. I love eating great food, and having wonderful company. I think the thing I like about it the most... is there is NO presents, no greedy children not worrying about if the person will like or not like what you bought them.. Just peace. I love it!!! I love giving people gifts and that part is fun, but it seems at times we forget the reason for the season, and Thanksgiving can bring that back sometimes.

I am also very thankful for our Soldiers... This is my Brother Trent, I am thankful for his willingness to service our country. I know there are a lot of soldiers out there fighting to keep us safe. I am very thankful for them also. They risk their lives and make this place better for us, and I am truly thankful for their sacrifice. Thank you and bless you during this Holiday season. I pray that you will be with your Families soon.
I am also very thankful for Cell Phones.... It is a good and a bad thing to have a cell phone. But I am glad I have one. Being a mother is scary and I could not image not having my phone with me, if I needed to call Brad for help!! So I am thankful for the wonderful technology we have in this world!

RUNNING
I am very thankful I can run... I have had 3 knee surgeries. It is still amazing to me that after all this time I can run on the streets and run.. well at least 3 miles at a time right now. I do feel a little pain, but it is getting better. Running is a stress relief for me and I love it!!!

I am very Thankful for FALL!!! IT is my favorite time of the year!! It is beautiful and the temperature is perfect!!! You wear a light jacket or sweater, and I love that. I love to see people in clothes!!!it is perfect!

I am thankful for my last calling... and my current one. But my last calling was wonderful!!! I loved being in YW and it has taught me so much! I will love and pray for those girls forever. This is us with the young men at a temple... what a better place to be. I think of these girls often and I am so blessed to have known them.

I am very thankful for Camping at my Grandpa's property! I have spent most of my summers up here... and it truly is the best place. IT is right by the river and it is private so it's the BEST way to camp. I have a lot of wonderful memories and good time up at this place!! If you ever want to go just let me know and we will go camping

I am very Thankful to have my BEST friend, Ceci!!! Even though she lives in Philly now which makes me sad. We talk all the time and I am going to go visit her one day.

I have no picture for this post... This is a very special post for me. I am very Thankful for Birth-mothers. I would not be a mother right now, if it wasn't for a very wonderful, very selfless person. I can only imagine the trial she went through and the hard and difficult choice she had to make. I look up to her and admire her for her strength. Thanks to all the wonderful women out there that are willing to make this huge sacrifice to give their babies a better life. And to make people like me parents. I try my hardest every day to make sure I give Brinlee the BEST life possible. Her birth mother deserves that and so does Brinlee. I am very blessed to have Brinlee in my life, and it would not have happened if it were not for birth-mothers. I love you!! I pray for you all everyday. I hope we have a another GREAT Birth-mother as we begin this process again in homes to add a 2nd little Lythgoe to our Family

I am very Thankful for the Gospel!! I am very Thankful for eternal Families... Without that wonderful gift, Brinlee would not be sealed to Brad and I. I am very grateful our Father has a plan for us. He loves us, he loves me and it shows. I am thankful for the Gospels light in my life and the opportunity I have in studying it and working hard to make my way back to Father in Heaven.

I am Thankful for the Scriptures.. For the help they give, the wonderful stories.. and the reminder to obey God's Commandments. I truly have a testimony of the scriptures, they can help us in our everyday life.. and I truly believe that if you read the Book of Mormon and ask our Father if it is true, you will receive an answer, I have done it recently...

I am thankful for Temples. There are many Temples all over the world, and I blessed to have many close by my home. This picture is of the Bountiful Temple and Brad and I were Sealed in this temple. It is very special for me. I am thankful we have a place to get away from the world for a while and do service.. It is the best feeling. They are truly a wonder to behold!

Wow... Time fly's and I am so far behind... I got really sick this past week and have done nothing but lay in bed!! ( Which is not okay with me.) I wanted to do this posts individually, but time flew by, so sorry.

I am very Thankful for the Lythgoe Family.. I want to start out with Trent and Wendy!!
I am VERY blessed to have such a great Brother and Sister-in-law.. I love Trent and Wendy, we got along right away when I came into the Family. Wendy is the funnest person to be around. She has the best attitude!
She is the greatest host
Her cooking is to die to for, and she always makes sure you like what she is making.
I look up to Wendy, she is a kind, warm, and a beautiful person.
Everyone who meets her, loves her
Trent... He is very smart, I like to ask him questions
I really like to play poker with him... he makes it fun and has taught me a lot
He serves our country
He is just like Randy when it comes to kids, he is a great uncle and the kids just LOVE him
He is very kind to his wife and it shows. I love the example of love that he gives Wendy.. It is beautiful. I look up to Trent and I am glad he is my Brother
I have seen Trent and Wendy in Hawaii and 2 in Kansas City, Mo. WE are going to see them in Dec of this year!! They will bend over backwards to help you come into their home. Not many people would do that, and I am truly grateful. I love you guys and can't wait to see you!

Casey has worked very hard, and he deserves to be successful!
He has always been so nice to take our phones calls. We call him with weird questions about what we are feeling or what Brinlee's poo is doing.. lol

My sister Kellie as you can tell is very fun!!!! She has taught me a lot over the years!! I love her very much..

I am so blessed and thankful to have such wonderful in-laws. I love Randy and Valerie so much and I am thankful they have welcomed us into their home.

Valerie is a wonderful Lady. She is very knowledgeable about the Gospel and I love the fact that she will fight for Family home evenings ( no matter how bad Brad and Brice are)
She is very sweet and spiritual
She can make the BEST Bread!!!!
She eats very healthy and it reminds me that I need to do the same
She loves Brinlee and it shows
She will play all kinds of games with Brinlee, she is a Great Gramby!!!
I really look up to Valerie, and I want to be just like her when my kids are all grown up. She is a very selfless person.
When asked wants she want for her Birthday or Christmas her reply: " I want to take everyone on a cruise" and we are going in Feb... She is the BEST

I am very thankful for My Dad and Debbie

I was cleaning one night and Dad and Debbie so graciously watched Brinlee for me, when I was done I came up to there door to pick Brinlee up. I peek through the glass before I rang the door bell to find My Dad holding Brinlee in his lap and Debbie was sitting next them reading a book. They were laughing and from what I could see they were having a GREAT time.
I am truly thankful for what I saw that day. Brinlee wasn't watching a movie while they were off doing other things. They were taking time out from whatever they were doing to spend time with her, and for that I am thankful!
They are great Grandparents
My Dad:
He loves to do silly things, he is like a big kid and it is refreshing
He loves to go on four-wheeler rides and will take you anytime you ask
He makes the best funeral potatoes
He is really good to talk to and gives some pretty good advise
I remember a time when we went up to The property in ID for the day just him and I to go pick up his trailer, we had such a great day talking about things and just laughing, I am very thankful for that day!
He loves Brinlee-- every time he sees her he gives her a big hug and gets out toys for her. He gets right down on the ground to play. We are not sure who is having more fun, Grandpa or Brinlee
Debbie:
She is a great cook! I make cake and she did not hesitate at all to try and find me a good homemade chocolate cake recipe. If you want a really good chocolate cake, I can make you one from her recipe.. IT is the BEST!
She will always help me with my cooking question
She is the best seamstress( she would tell you other wise, but don't believe her, she has a talent)
She makes the cutest and best blankets for every Grandchild she has
She will help you with sewing questions and show you if you don't understand
One time up at the property she was doing her hair at the table and yelled "Kenzie Moose", and I yelled back: "I don't have the Moose".. She again said "Kenzie Moose" and I got out of the tent to show her I in fact did not have the Moose and there he was a huge Moose running away for all of us. It was so funny..
I remember playing games with her, she is a really good card player and is fun to play with
She makes my Dad happy
I am Thankful she is in my life!

I am very Thankful for my Mother... She is known now as Nana. She is such a great Mom and A great Nana. She is always willing to watch Brinlee when I need her to and I am truly thankful for all the wonderful things she had done for me.

This is Mom, Madeline and Brinlee, we went to the Zoo and had a great time!! My Mom loves to do very fun things, Here are some that I remember:
Loves to go to Logan and get Cheese curd, and while we are they we go to the cookie factory
She is trying all the flavors of Ben and Jerry's so we rode the train down to the Gateway and got ice cream and came right back.. IT was the best trip
We got to Ikea for the day just to eat the cheap breakfast and look around
For Christmas she ALWAYS makes a sock for everyone in the family and it has your favorite treats in it and she really makes you feel special
She can not keep a secret, she likes to do nice things for people and has to tell them about it before she can do it
She makers the BEST hot chocolate and smoothies, come on over and she will make you one
She will ride up with me to our property in ID just to clean out the septic tanks( of course getting cheese curd on the way)
She is the best cook, she takes after her mom that way. I have learned so much for her and I love to cook
She is a great Nana and loves her Grandbabies..and it shows, they love her and cry for her often
There are many more I could say about my mom

I am truly thankful for my Wonderful Husband... He works really hard for our family!! I am Blessed to have a man in my life that will take me to the temple, and honor his priesthood. When I am sick or feeling overwhelmed with Baby thoughts it is nice to know I can go to him for a blessing. I love you!!! Thank you for all you do for our family.

I am very proud of my hubby, not many people would start over and go back to school! He is trying to provide a better life for us. You all know that you need to love what you do, it makes life happier!!!

I saw on my cousins blog that she was doing thankful posts for the entire month of November. So I am going to try it.. I know I have missed the first day so I am doing 2 days in this post...

I am very thankful and blessed that I am a Mom.. There is truly no greater gift Brad and I have been giving then our little Brinlee. It's hard going through the fact that you can't have kids. And even though the pain doesn't go away--- Brinlee helps make it better :)

The 2nd thing I am very thankful for of course is Brinlee!!! She made me a Mom, and I learn so much from her every day! She is smart and beautiful and is my little Diva.. Thanks to my Father in Heaven for such a wonderful Gift!!!

My Cousin Carli got married last month and I was blessed to be asked to do her wedding cake!! Here is the lovely cake. It turned out great!!! Kellie did the flowers, which of course is the perfect touch

The top layer is a homemade chocolate cake with Chocolate mousse in the middle, and the bottom is a white and yellow cake with Raspberry filling in between each layer.

It was a wonderful day and everything turned out great!! Her colors and all the decorations.. Thanks again and good luck to the Happy Couple!

I had the BEST time with my Dad the other day. He asked if I would like to go 4-wheeling with him. My Dad and Debbie have some really nice 4-wheelers and he asked if I would like to go see a place that he really loves, so we left one morning at about 7 a.m. he came and got me. I forgot my camera, but thank goodness I had my phone.

This is a fresh spring, it was so cold and tasted oh so good

He took me up to inspiration point.. It is over by Willard peak, and it was the most beautiful ride, and I mean look at the view.... WOW it is so wonderful to see Utah and what a beautiful state we live in.

I learned something today, when we were driving up the trail we spotted a deer and 2 babies, one of the babes was in the road and it was staring at us, I got a little worried and thought: We need to get up to the top, so I turned to my dad and asked, "What should we do" and his reply was very simple but meaningful..
" Why don't you turn off you machine and enjoy it"

I think I was so busy trying to make it to the top, that I forgot why we were really there.. To Enjoy and have a good time!! Thanks Dad, it was great and we took it slow the rest of the way to the top!

Well-- I know this sounds weird, but I took my daughter to a BABY contest!!! Yep I can not believe it. But I swore to myself that if it was a "toddler in Tiaras" I would leave right away..

But it was so much fun and very very cute.. They were all judged in their diapers and it was very casual. So we stayed and Brinlee WON to prizes!!!!

The prizes were really cute! Thanks Riverdale City!!

The diaper Derby was so much fun!!! Brinlee ran so fast I could not believe it!!! She did so good. IT was very fun, and I think she had fun! Good job my little cutie

We also put her in most curly hair, but this really cute kid had curls all over and he won, but then they called Brinlee's name for the most hair!!! She does have a ton of it!!

My little girl has turned 2!!! I can not believe how fast it has gone. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful, beautiful, caring little girl.
She LOVES Ariel and can sing the entire song "Part of that World"
She loves her dad and is become more of a daddy's girl each day
She loves to dance and sing
We are so close to start potty training
She is a bit of a diva ( in a good way)
She is a girly girly if I ever saw one

On June 13th my WONDERFUL husband turned 31.... He and his twin Brice are fans of Star Trek so I made him a "Communicator" cake.. It was nothing glamorous,
but he liked it and that is all that matters.

(I described this cake to someone by saying this line, and apparently I am WAY wrong, so Brice and Brad make fun of me)

Tayson also had his 5th Birthday on the 19th, and he wanted a transformer cake, so I did my best!! He wanted Bumblebee...

My bro-in-law Nate is quite the cook and he wanted a BBQ Grill, HE turned 28 I think and so he got a Grill and corn on the cob... I think it turned out well

Wisconsin TRIP

We all went to Wisconsin on a trip to see Casey Graduate form Medical school!!! Valerie and Randy along with Trent and Wendy want to make sure everyone got to this graduation and for that we are very grateful. It was a great trip, and I so glad we were able to take Family pictures and have a good time!

May is a really crazy month for us!!!! WE have 3 Mom's to get presents on Mother's day and it is also- Valerie, Debbie, Aunt Judy, Trent and Ceci's Birthday!!! I was unable to do a cake for Trent & Ceci, because of the out-of-state thing and Debbie requested another desert for her birthday so.... Kamie had such a WONDERFUL St. Patty's Day party for Madeline and Brinlee... She had fun games and great GREEN food. Thanks Kamie the girls loved it!

I really enjoyed being in the young women's... I miss them and think about them often.. I just got a new calling that I am very excited for... Activity days with the 8 and 9 year olds... This should be a lot of fun!!

Changes and updates

Well, in the last couple of Months brad and I have gone through some changes... They are good changes, sad but good... First We bought a new potty for Brinlee and she loves it!!!

She is not 100 % ready to go in it, but we are working on that... She loves to show people how it works.

Kellie and I made Bread a long time ago and I am just getting to posting pictures... We made raisin Bread and white.. They look so good don't they :)

Well the biggest change is that we have moved out of our house in South Ogden... :(!! I am very sad about this move. We have rented out our house to a great family for 15 months. This will give us time so Brad can go back to school and we do not have to worry about a house payment. I am very blessed that the Lord has given us this chance to become debt free while Brad is changing his career. I am thankful for the many blessing he has given us. Who knows we might be able to get another BABY!!!! We are excited, this was a very good move.
We will miss our house and I will miss my wonderful calling in the young Women's,

But life brings surprises and we are waiting to see what is in store.....

So we went to the Doctor a little late, we were suppose to go @ 18 months, but we went @ 19 months-- because of insurance reasons... So this is what they said:

Weighed 25 pounds - In the 50th percentile

35 inches tall -- off the charts, Again.

She got 2 shots and was very brave

She is very healthy and right where she should be

He said if she continues the growth pattern she will be 6' 2"-- yeah that's right my little girl could be over six feet!! I love it.. Brad on the other hand does not want to look up to his daughter...

Getting her beautiful curls cut!! Thanks to Nana.. She has the most beautiful, soft hair I have seen.. oh ya and she has a LOT of it (this picture is after her hair was cut)
